Feeding Bran

Feeding Bran We have two horses on the ranch that can not tolerated rice bran. They are both Quarter horses.

the condition" Big Head" causing large Knots on the middle of their foreheads. They were misdiagnosed with ulcers, parasites and wormed multiple times and given probiotics, neurological problems and we were told we were not feeding enough. The rice bran was to much for these horses. We ventured out an obtained a second opinion and Jet and Arron were diagnosed with with Big Head Syndrome. and taken off rice bran products and started on Vitamin E and triple 10 feed and all the hay they could eat. The change is amazing. The knots started to go down and their appetites returned. Sometimes you need to think out of the box when having your horse diagnosed. Get a second opinion if you need it.
